I, along with my wife, dog and two cats, moved to Huntersville this September to be closer to family and mountains. Prior to North Carolina, I worked at The Bicycle Shop in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I enjoy cyclocross and road riding, and look forward to exploring the local mountain bike trails. When not riding or helping customers find the right bike, I enjoy being outside or watching college football- Geaux Tigers!

I moved to Mooresville, NC in 1993 when I was 14. BMX trail riding was my hobby and really my whole world. Most of my middle and high school years were spent daydreaming about the bell ringing and going to the trails to ride with friends. I lived it and loved it greatly! When I turned 16, I begged a local shop owner to give me a job. After weeks of pestering him, he finally gave in and I started building bikes and learning the trade. Since then, I have worked in the industry for about 11 years in roles such as Sales Associate, Service Manager and Shop Manager.

Cycling Stats: During my cycling years I have earned an Expert Level BMX license, I currently race Expert Level mountain bike races and as of last season I have received a Category 2 road racing license and participate in Pro/1/2 races in the southeast.

I recently moved to huntersville from central Pennsylvania in search of better weather, a longer riding season, and new trails to explore! My first trip to the area was a few years ago on an extended “riding vacation”. I came through town and hit the White Water Center and the Backyard Trails on my way to Pisgah. It wasn't long after that I decided I need to move south!

Primarily a mountain biker. I enjoy everything from smooth singletrack, knarly rock gardens, and of course the free chair lift ride to the top. I started out riding bmx in high school, went mountain biking one time and it changed everything. Since then I started working at a bike shop, I've got to travel and ride all over the country,  i've been to multiple bike schools,  and found my passion in the Bicycle industry. I've been wrenching professionally at a shop for about 8 years now, and have learned a whole lot along the way. I would say I love to wrench on bikes almost as much as I enjoy riding them. Need your brakes bled, or suspension tuned? How about your new Di2 installed or a custom wheel build? I'm your man. Stop in, grab a beer, and say hi!

Andrew received a new department store bike at age ten, and much to the horror of his parents proceeded to disassemble it completely. To their disbelief he reassembled it with better results. Andrew has been adjusting bikes since then, professionally for the past four years. He earned his USA Cycling race mechanic license in 2014 after attending the Bill Woodul clinic at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado. When Andrew is not riding, racing cyclocross, or wrenching, he is busy earning an engineering degree from UNCC and tending his beehives. If there were more hours in a day he would like to dedicate a small part of his time to rebuilding engines, and pursuing bicycle framebuilding.

Our very own Pro BMX racer – Tim flat out loves anything bike related. When not working, Tim is out racing on the BMX circuit showing off his incredible bike skills. Originally from Chicago, Tim relocated to and in his words is still growing up here in the Charlotte area. “Dinger” can be found at our HVL shop on most Saturdays.
