Upcoming Events & Rides
When: Sunday, June 9th 9am-1pm
Where: North Mecklenburg Park
What: Demo Day is a great opportunity to test ride the latest mountain bikes for free!
Have you been thinking about a new mountain bike? Maybe you're looking to get into it because your friends ride or maybe you're looking to get back into it and don't know what's new. Whatever the case may be, we invite you to join us at North Meck Park to demo a bike, free of charge. The trail is about a three mile loop and is beginner-friendly.
Balance Bike Fridays
When: Fridays 12-4pm
What: On Friday afternoons, you can catch us at the Discovery Place Kids in downtown Huntersville. The reason we're here is to help educate parents and to get more kids riding bikes and having fun.
Our goal is to help build confidence through balance bikes so that kids are able to learn at a young age and enjoy bike riding from childhood through adulthood. They say it's just like riding a bike ;)
Lake Norman Fondo
When: Sunday, August 18th
Where: The Village Green, Davidson, NC
What: The Lake Norman Fondo is a cycling event in Davidson that supports local charities throughout the Lake Norman area. The charity ride offers three distances for participants to choose from: 30, 50, and 75 miles.
We'll be straight with you, another Poker Run is in the cards! We're not bluffing, so stay tuned and don't fold yet!
National Bike to School Day
National bike month is celebrated during the month of May, where everyone is encouraged to bike to work and school.
May 9th is National Bike-and-Walk to School Day and we were excited to see so many children participate in the Town of Davidson!
We also want to thank all of the parents, volunteers, and police officers who helped to make this a fun and safe day for all of the children!
Warm weather means we're out and about at events! Look for the Spirited Tent and come by to say "hi" or test ride bikes! We'll have everything from kids bikes to mountain bikes to electric bikes.
One of the latest events we were apart of was Earth Jam at Robbins Park in Cornelius--it was a blast! Live music, food trucks, and we were excited to be apart of it all offering bike demos.
Love Valley Roubaix
If it's epic gravel riding you're looking for, it's the Love Valley Roubaix you want to ride!
The Love Valley Roubaix is a two-day event with two different routes, each 50 miles long and chocked full of elevation.
Visiting the town of Love Valley is like stepping back in time to the John Wayne days. This quaint little western town is nestled at the base of the Brushy Mountains and is surrounded by beautiful winding dirt-packed roads.
Thanks to everyone who joined us on our first ever Poker Ride -- it was a blast! This was a fun, slow-paced group ride that went approximately 10 miles around Huntersville. All bikes were welcome -- people were riding everything from road bikes, to fixed gears, to full suspension mountain bikes!
How the Poker Ride worked is everyone was given a card at each of the four bars we visited: Main Street Tavern, Crafty Beer Guys, Into the Wind, and Harvey's. Everyone stayed together as a group and we returned to the shop where the final cards were handed out. Whoever had the best five card poker hand won!
Blind Wine Tasting
The Huntersville shop hosts a variety wine tasting events throughout each month. These tastings are lead by one of our wine distributors as we sample different collections.
The last event we held was a Blind Wine Tasting where we challenged our other sense while enjoying different types of wine.
After a long day at work, stop by and unwind at the bike shop as we uncork and pour our latest selection.
